Ruth Collins, 88, of Green Forest, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 14, 1913, in Alpena, a daughter of Stephen B. and Jennie Bell (Davis) Fultz.
Mrs. Collins lived and worked on her farm south of Green Forest most of her life. She was a member of Rule United Baptist Church for many years.
On Sept. 24, 1932, she married Henry J. Collins. He preceded her in death in 1957.
Survivors include three sons, John Collins, Howard Collins and his wife Sharon, and Harold Collins and his wife Maxine, all of Green Forest; four daughters, Sharon Stewart and her husband Freddie of Green Forest, Brenda Taylor and her husband Bob of Green Forest, Ruby Snelson and her husband Gerald of Bakersfield, Calif., and Linda High and her husband Tom of Terrell, Texas; three brothers, C.B. Fultz and his wife Gertie of Red Bluff, Calif., Clifford Fultz and his wife Ruth of Green Forest, and Dean Fultz and his wife Bonnie of Green Forest; two sisters, Georgia Ewing and her husband Delbert of Manhattan, Kan., and Opal Grooms and her husband Louis of Salinas, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 4, at the Assembly of God Church in Green Forest, with the Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Interment followed in the Rule Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
