Mercy Hospital Berryville Auxiliary did not allow the current pandemic to prevent showing appreciation to its administrative assistant on Wednesday, April 22. Pictured from left to right are gift shop co-chair Debbie Bryant, administrative assistant Deana Davidson and auxiliary scholarship chair Carolyn Bosshardt, who presented Davidson with an appreciation card and a gift card. In addition to serving as assistant to hospital administrator VonDa Moore, Davidson is the auxiliary gift shop and junior auxiliary chair as well as serving as auxiliary liaison for the past eight years. She is also a member of Arkansas Society of Directors of Volunteer Services. -

CCSO investigating missing police rifle: Fired in GF, Eureka Springs chief’s son hired by ESPD

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the apparent theft of a Green Forest police rifle from an off-duty officer’s personal vehicle last summer. Meanwhile, the officer was quickly fired by the Green Forest Police Department and hired three days later by the Eureka Springs Police Department — where his father serves as chief.
