Read All Together (Local News ~ 10/08/19)
Read All Together is an initiative that the Green Forest Intermediate Library began in 2009 to educate students on the freedoms of living in the United States. It also gives students background knowledge of the events that took place September 11, 2001. These community leaders have been involved with this initiative the 10 years. Spaghetti Dinner (Local News ~ 10/08/19)
Holiday Island Presbyterian Church held a Spaghetti Dinner on Sept. 23 to benefit People Helping People, Back Our Kids and ECHO Village. Each of the three groups received a check for $1,175 in proceeds from the dinner, which served more than 340 people. HIPC has been holding spaghetti dinners since 2002 to benefit non-profits in the community.
