Turpentine Creek raising funds for new well

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is taking the first step in its plans for expansion by fundraising for a new well and water system for the facility. The project will cost an estimated $150,000. That estimate includes the cost to drill the well, install the chlorination system and construct a small building to house the system and water reservoir. A generous donor, C. I’ll celebrate my 50th birthday in September. I suppose for some people that’s not necessarily a pleasant milestone, but I’m not fretting about it. I don’t feel (nearly) 50 most of the time, arthritis notwithstanding. I still listen to that infernal rock and roll music — although these days they call it “classic rock” — and I’m still a big kid at heart. I still like to laugh and joke and I almost always roll out of bed excited about the day — or at least excited about the first cup of coffee...

Gretchen (No. C18-0069) is a female pit mix, approximately 4.5 years old. This goofy girl loves to play and would love a big yard to run around in. She’ll still be a couch potato in her down time, though. She loves to have her chest rubbed and be showered with attention. She is spayed and has her shots.
