Bobcats show some moxie in Battle for the Belt

The Berryville Bobcats believe in facing tough competition on the wrestling mat in order to improve their skills and prepare for state tournament competition. At the Battle for Belt last weekend in Fayetteville, the Bobcats saw some of the best competition they’re likely to face all season.

Lady Bobcats take care of business (High School Sports ~ 12/28/18)
The Berryville Lady Bobcats have fallen out of the No. 1 spot in Maxpreps’ Arkansas Class 4A rankings — despite remaining undefeated — but you couldn’t tell it by their performance last Friday against Gentry. Led by 21 points from senior forward Hannah Morrell, the Lady Bobcats beat Gentry 60-36 to improve to 13-0 overall and 2-0 in the 4A-1 play. -

The Berryville Bobcats have developed a bit of a new look recently. After struggling through a seven-game losing streak, the Bobcats have reeled off three consecutive victories, including a 55-53 overtime victory over Gentry last Friday at Bobcat Arena. -

As Green Forest coach Kyle Farrar said, there wasn’t one thing that cost the Lady Tigers a chance to win against Pocahontas on Thursday morning in the opening game of the Holiday Hoops Tournament at Bobcat Arena in Berryville.
