It has taken two games for the Green Forest junior high football team to win just as many games as it did last year. On Thursday evening, the Tigers defeated Mountain Home 26-6 at Bill Gotto Field. The Berryville Bobcats lost a 21-14 heartbreaker to Huntsville on Friday evening as the Bobcats opened their new stadium. Berryville quarterback Cale Heithold threw an 83-yard pass to Wyatt Poe that moved the ball from the Berryville 3 to the Huntsville 14 with less than three minutes remaining. Health unit to host flu clinic

ES council agrees to install more dog waste stations

There soon will be more places to dispose of dog waste in Eureka Springs. Alderwoman Melissa Greene told the Eureka Springs City Council at its meeting on Monday that she has been looking into how much it will cost to install more dog waste stations throughout the city, saying she learned it’s less expensive if the stations are attached to a trash can. It’s about $150 per station attached to a trash can, Greene said, which is $100 less than it would cost to install a freestanding station...
