Grandma's House Children's Advocacy Center has received accreditation from the National Children's Alliance. A press release from Grandma's House says that the accreditation was awarded after an extensive application and site review process. As the accrediting agency for children's advocacy centers across the country, the alliance awards various levels of accreditation and membership to centers responding to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient and put the needs of child victims of abuse first, the release says. ... -
I hope I'm wrong

I was wrong about the 2016 election. I first wrote about Donald Trump's candidacy in August 2015, describing him as a "self-important windbag who should never receive a single vote to become president of the United States." A year later, I wrote about Trump again. This time I described him as "a puffed-up, steroidal version of a stereotypical used-car salesman (with sincere apologies to used-car salesmen)."...

Sheriff's office prepares new 911 dispatch center (Local News ~ 11/16/16)
Emergency dispatch services will transfer to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, Dec. 7. CCSO Lt. Daniel Klatt said the sheriff's office has been preparing the new 911 dispatch center since October. City residents provide margin for ambulance district's passage

Strong support in the city limits of Berryville and Green Forest led to the approval of an ambulance service district in eastern Carroll County. Voters in the eastern portion of the county approved the ambulance district by a margin of 140 votes, according to unofficial totals released by the Carroll County Clerk's Office. A total of 3,077 votes were cast in favor of the district's creation, with 2,937 votes against it...
