Pat Kasner, president of the food bank, reported Monday that the chef who has cooked at Flint Street's Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners won't be available this year. On October 30, 1942, a pile of rubble sat at this location. The day before it had been the three-story Berryville School building. On October 29, 1942, a tornado blew through Berryville and cut a swath through the heart of the city. The school was rebuilt on the same site and today is home of Berryville High School.
