Junior Bobcats win, GF loses but shows effort

Playing on the road is always difficult, but the Berryville junior high football team made it look easy on Sept. 1 when the Bobcats defeated Decatur 37-8 in the season opener. After a dominating 59-6 victory over the Decatur Bulldogs last Friday, the Berryville Bobcats hope to keep the momentum rolling as they travel to take on the Clinton Yellowjackets this Friday night. Clinton and Berryville finished last year with the same record last season -- 2-8 -- but two years ago, Clinton won the 4A-4 conference championship and finished the year with nine wins. Mayor Tim McKinney told the Berryville City Council during the council's meeting on Tuesday that city attorney Clint Scheel is looking into legal issues regarding the relocation of Entergy power lines for the College Avenue project.
