On Saturday, June 4, 60 volunteers braved morning showers to participate in the 11th annual Kings River cleanup sponsored by Kings River Watershed Partnership. Traveling memorial to be displayed at GF high school

The Arkansas Fallen Heroes Traveling Memorial will be on display at Green Forest High School from Sunday, June 12, through Saturday, June 18. The final day of the display will coincide with the annual Rat Race, which will start and end at the high school on June 18. The Rat Race honors Green Forest native Tommy Ratzlaff, a Navy SEAL who was among 31 men killed when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan in August 2011...

The Arkansas Master Gardener Conference gathered green thumbs together in Eureka Springs this past weekend, allowing master gardeners and vendors to share seeds of wisdom with each other. The theme of this year's conference was "Gardening on the Rocks: Creating Beauty in the Ozarks." The Berryville City Council is working on resolving a fowl problem at George Pond. The city will post signs asking visitors not to feed the ducks and geese in hopes of decreasing the waterfowl population at the pond. Mayor Tim McKinney brought up the issue after the council voted to approve the use of George Pond for the Berryville Kiwanis Club's annual Fishing Derby. He said the ducks and geese have taken over the pond, making it unsafe for children to be in the area without an adult...
