In behalf of the Western Carroll County Ministerial Association we would like to thank all those who took part in the Celebrate Jesus Concert & Parade. The churches that were represented in the parade,those that donated time and money, the Carroll County Newspapers that ran articles and pictures, especially David Bell for the beautiful pictures and accurate coverage of the event, the musicians that used their talent to praise the Lord in song, the behind-the-scenes people that kept the concert running smoothly, the Dortch family that let us use their parking lot to form the parade, and the list could go on and on. ...

Grateful for the season

It's awfully hard to be grumpy about getting up early when you drive through Carroll County to get to work in the morning. I find this especially true during spring and fall, when all the colors are changing and the new season starts to set in. We're smack dab in the middle of spring now, and it feels like some new color pops up every day. Purple flowers have begun growing along the road where I walk in the evenings, which makes exercise after a long day of work almost bearable...

GSHS to host adopt-a-thon April 16

The Good Shepherd Humane Society will have an adopt-a-thon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Arkansas State Chili Championship at the Holiday Island Country Club.
