Agri Appreciation Days marks 20th year

This year marks the 20th edition of the Ozarks Area Agriculture Appreciation Days, and the milestone event will feature plenty of fun for the whole family. Several Carroll County students have been named to the Dean's List at North Arkansas College in Harrison for the 2015 spring semester. In order to qualify for the full-time Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester. To make the part-time Dean's List, a student must post a GPA of 3.7 or higher for six to 11 hours during the semester and must have accumulated 12 or more hours with a GPA of 3.7 or above...

Blood drives scheduled in Berryville, Green Forest

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) has issued a Code Yellow Alert for O Negative and A Negative blood types. There is currently less than a two-day supply of these blood types available for area patients. Donors to CBCO provide all the blood for patients at 39 area hospitals. On average, a transfusion takes place every seven minutes. It takes around 230 donations each day to meet the area's blood needs...

Fatal accident: Green Forest man dies after engine falls from flatbed

A Green Forest man was killed in an accident Friday afternoon. According to a press release from the Green Forest Police Department, Cory Lewis was struck in the head by an engine block that fell from a flatbed trailer.
