Local teams compete in Mountain Home track meet

MOUNTAIN HOME -- Eureka Springs and Green Forest went to its final regular season track meet of the year in Mountain Home last Monday. Highland won the boys competition, scoring 183 points. Green Forest finished third at 84 points and Eureka Springs finished eighth at 18 points. Harrison won the girls competition, scoring 225 points. Valley Springs scored the first run of the game. The Lady Bobcats scored the next 12 en route to a five inning sportsmanship rule 12-1 victory Monday evening. Emma Hill pitched another complete game, striking out 11 and only allowing two hits. She also drove in four runs on two hits.
