Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) has issued a Code Yellow Alert for A-negative blood type. There is currently less than a two-day supply of this type on hospital shelves and donations are needed immediately. Donors to CBCO provide all of the blood for patients at 37 area hospitals. Every five minutes on average, a transfusion takes place. It takes around 250 donations each day to meet the area's blood needs...
