HOLIDAY ISLAND -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has charged Clifford Burkett, 49, of Holiday Island with numerous counts of theft by receiving as well as a parole violation issued the the Department of Community Corrections. Burkett was arrested on March 5 after a lengthy investigation involving thefts from Carroll, Benton and Madison counties, in addition to Stone County in Missouri.
