EUREKA SPRINGS -- Annie Sheu arrived Aug. 18 from Taiwan to begin her year as a foreign exchange student, thanks to the Holiday Island and Eureka Springs Rotary clubs. Annie will attend Eureka Springs High School this year. She is being hosted by Patrice and Karen Gros of Eureka Springs for the first three months of her stay, and then will be hosted by Tim and Mavis Lehr. A third host family is still being sought... -
Berryville council eyes outsourcing wastewater management

BERRYVILLE -- The Berryville City Council is considering hiring a private company to manage the city's wastewater treatment plant. The council voted to issue a request for qualifications at their regular meeting on Aug. 21. Excess phosphorus has lately led to high costs at the plant, which is located on Cedarvale Road.
