EUREKA SPRINGS -- A 38-year-old Eureka Springs man remains in the Carroll County Detention Center and now faces two counts of attempted murder and other felonies from two seperate incidents. Walter Jason Ward appeared in Western District Court last week, where he was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder. WCCAD to finalize ambulance contract draft Tuesday

The Western Carroll County Ambulance District (WCCAD) board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, and the new contract for ambulance service with the City of Eureka Springs is on the agenda to be finalized. The contract was awarded to Eureka Springs at the April regular meeting after WCCAD received bids from both the city and Mercy Health Systems of Springfield, Mo.
