St. John's Hospital-Berryville hosted an Emergency Room Education Fair for area nursing staff, EMS, and physicians at no cost to attendees. This educational event originated at St. John's Hospital-Cassville in 2010. The tiniest helper on Thanksgiving was little Allie of Eureka Springs, who has her serving gloves on and is ready to fetch a guest a beverage (left). Below, volunteers serve up turkey, ham and all the fixings at the free dinner at the ECHO Clinic in Eureka Springs, which was sponsored by the Flint Street Food Bank. HOLIDAY ISLAND -- In a surprise move during its last regular business meeting of the year, the Holiday Island Board of Commissioners terminated District Manager Kevin Crosson's employment Monday. Following a two-hour executive session, the board reconvened to hear a motion from Commissioner John Dolce, seconded by Kay Janky, to terminate Crosson's employment at close of business, change the locks on the district office doors and contact the district's lawyer to draw up a severance package to carry through to the end of this year.. ...
