Green Forest man first conviction of Hate Crimes Act

WASHINGTON -- The Justice Department announced today that Sean Popejoy, 19, of Green Forest, Ark., pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of committing a federal hate crime and one count of conspiring to commit a federal hate crime. Boil order lifted following breaks in water line

Green Forest water customers were able to return to normal on Sunday after a precautionary boil order was lifted due to two breaks on water transmission lines for the Carroll-Boone Water District. The boil order began around 9 a.m. on Friday and for the next two days residents were advised that water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use...

Bobcats' soccer seasons come to finish at state

JONESBORO -- The seasons came to an end for both the Berryville boys and girls soccer teams this past weekend at the Class 4A state tournament in Jonesboro.
