Rumors unfounded, says Superintendent Carr

Rumors about staff cuts in the Eureka Springs School District are unfounded, said Superintendent Wayne Carr by phone Thursday. The newspaper called him after receiving a phone call that a special meeting of the board had been called. "No special meeting has been called," he said. The Carroll County Community Orchestra announces its Holiday 2010 concert, Sounds of the Season, to be held at the Berryville Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. The orchestra, led by conductor Ken Smith, is in its seventh year, and boasts 30 volunteer members from all over the county.
