Nailbenders' Alpena work schedule is cut short

ALPENA -- While Nailbenders, volunteer builders from the Arkansas Baptist Association, are working on building a new facility for Alpena Baptist Church today, it is uncertain when, or if, they will return to finish the job. The group arrived on June 30 and were in church services that day, with some setting up camp on-site and others staying in Harrison. Construction has been underway all week, and was to have continued again July 14-18...

LaBarge employees dubbed heroes after kittens are rescued from fire (Local News ~ 07/03/08)
BERRYVILLE -- LaBarge has a hero. In fact, three heroes. Monday at around 10 a.m., the maintenance crew was burning a 20- to 25-foot pile of scrap wood and other debris from the aeronautics plant. When the pile was about half to two-thirds consumed, Mike Warren heard a "meow." Looking, he found a kitten in the pile, eyes still closed, and got it out of the fire. Then he heard a second "meow" and reached in to the fire, burning himself on the arm. The second kitten's eyes were open, he said... -
