Green Forest School Board looks at bond refinancing

GREEN FOREST -- The School Board is working toward a plan to satisfy state requirements, and the board is leaning toward a solution that will not require an additional millage. If the school district refinances bonds issued in 2003, they could simply extend the repayment period an additional five years, to 2035. EUREKA SPRINGS -- With 11 working days left, the Western District office of the County Clerk needs 364 marriage licenses to be issued to match the 2006 total of 3,904. The odds of meeting that number are pretty remote, however. On Saturday, Dec. 1, only 12 marriage licenses were issued in Eureka Springs, considerably below the 30 to 40 that are considered to be "good."
