ROBERTA CARLENE TRUAN, 64, of Brownwood, Texas, died on Nov. 9, 2006, following a long battle with cancer. Carlene was born August 23, 1943, in Eureka Springs, the oldest of seven children. She lived the first half of her life in Arkansas before moving with her husband to Texas. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting the cactus and bluebonnets of the Texas Hill Country.
