High-risk sex offenders face public scrutiny

Carroll County residents may soon be able to access information on high-risk registered sex offenders living in their communities, if the Arkansas Senate approves a bill passed by the House 93-0 on Tuesday. Currently, there are approximately 30 registered sex offenders living in Carroll County, according to statistics from the Arkansas Crime Information Center in Little Rock. Men face new hunting charges after Iowa arrests

Three Berryville men have been charged with hunting violations for allegedly taking deer out of season and related charges. Shane Fryar, 35, and David Donahoe, 30, were arrested Wednesday on Arkansas Game and Fish warrants in Carroll County for allegedly hunting out of season and aiding and abetting, which could apply to anything from hiding evidence to avoiding prosecution.
