Coach Mitch Myrick's Lady Bobcats started play with a win in the Bancorp South Airedale Classic in Alma last weekend, defeating Paris 55-40 in their opener, but took a tough 1-point loss, 44-43, to Alma in their second game on Friday night. Highlanders reach Southwest finals

Holiday Tournament last weekend, an event they won last year, and made it past Purdy, Mo., 61-42, and Pierce City, 54-41. The Eureka Springs Highlander boys' basketball teams fared well in games with Mountainburg on Saturday, Dec. 21, but the Lady Highlander girls' teams couldn't find a win. Coach Josh Hill's senior boys won, 64-59, with the junior boys adding a 30-20 victory in their game.
