An annular solar eclipse is seen late Sunday afternoon in Carroll County off Highway 62 West near Inspiration Point. On Sunday and Monday, an annular eclipse of the Sun was visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses Earth's Northern Hemisphere, according to NASA. The path of the Moon's antumbral shadow began in eastern Asia and crossed the North Pacific Ocean, where it ended in the western United States. The Moon's penumbral shadow produced a partial eclipse visible from a much larger region covering East Asia, North Pacific, North America and Greenland.
