Tigers fight it out at state championship

Kodee Powell hits the floor in a scramble for a loose ball. Powell and her teammates fought for 32 minutes in regulation and another five in overtime in the Class 3A Girls State Championship.

The Green Forest cheerleaders kept the student section on their feet and rooting for the Lady Tigers. There was a sea of red and white with T-shirts sporting the phrase, "Clawin' our way to the Summit."

The Tigers were 14-24 for 58 percent from the foul line in the state final game. Here Lindsey Savage steps to the charity stripe as the Powell sisters look to hustle back on defense. All three players are juniors and will return next year for the Lady Tigers.
