SAN DIEGO — During his last visit to Okinawa, in "The Karate Kid Part II" (1986), Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) fell in love with Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and was almost killed by Chozen (Yuji Okumoto). And during season three of "Cobra Kai," Mr. Miyagi's prize pupil returns to Japan: older and wiser.
“For season three, something I can tease is that, albeit we have a lot of cleaning up to do based on the events of season two, some of the stories will dive into the origins of both Miyagi-Do Karate and Cobra Kai,” Macchio said. “Like, the beginnings of those two forms of martial arts, and we’ll learn stuff about both that we never knew. And that includes LaRusso going to Okinawa, which is a piece of season three.”
If history is any indicator, it will be next summer before season three of "Cobra Kai" returns. Can't wait for more "Karate Kid?" Binge watch "Cobra Kai" seasons one and two for FREE! The special promotion begins on YouTube August 28th for the first season and then weekly on September 13 for season two.
