Unlimited movies: Sinemia ups the ante
Posted Monday, September 24, 2018, at 10:20 AM

Sinemia wants to attract all manner of movie fans.
Blood taints the cinematic waters, and the sharks are ravenous. Unfortunately for MoviePass, as their company continues to flounder, Sinemia now offers an unlimited plan for hardcore cinephiles. Under the new monthly subscription, members can watch 30 films (1 movie a day) for only $29.99 monthly.
Now, Sinemia offers two ways to pay. First, you can participate in the plan on a monthly, no commitment basis. In this scenario, new customers must pay a one-time $29.99 initiation fee on top of the monthly $29.99 ($59.98). Each subsequent month, subscribers only pay $29.99.
Second, there's the yearly approach. Subscribers pay $359.88 the day they sign up to avoid paying the $29.99 initiation fee. And they're locked into the service for one year.
This new unlimited plan basically allows moviegoers to see 30 films for $1 each. Think of it, because for the cost of three average-priced movie tickets ($10 a pop) you can see a movie every single day.
And, unlike MoviePass, there are not as many limitations on which films you can see or how many times you can see them. For example, if you're a huge horror genre fanatic, you can go see Michael Myers in Blumhouse's new Halloween (2018) movie 3 times.
"We can not stop you from seeing your favorite movie more than once so you can see the same movie for the second time," the website reveals in the FAQ. "Repeat movie viewings are permitted up to 3 times."
For those people who do not go to the movies enough to warrant the new unlimited plan, Sinemia continues to offer an array of options for ever film fan's taste. Visit their official website to find the monthly service that best fits your needs: https://www.sinemia.com/new-plans The screenshot below shows the company's available plans as of September 22.
Also, as of September 22, the promo code Oscar still works for both of the Elite Plans (pictured above - far left). Use this discount to receive 3 movie tickets a month for $13.99 instead of $17.99, and get 2 movie tickets a month for $8.99 rather than $12.99. Hurry! The Oscars promotion will undoubtedly end soon now that the Fall promo is underway.
Sinemia CEO and founder Rifat Oguz released a statement addressing the new unlimited plan.
“While most of our plans are focused on the modern moviegoer who sees one, two, or three movies each month, we want to serve every type of movie lover and that includes frequent moviegoers looking for an unlimited tickets option."
Oguz went on and said he is “confident this is the right price to sustainably offer such a plan.”
Oguz may not have anticipated what will happen when movie fanatics have the opportunity to see highly-anticipated films multiple times like "Avengers 4" (2019) and "Star Wars: Episode IX" (2019) next year. There are "Star Wars" fans who will go see "Episode IX" every single chance they get, and you can take that to the bank. Let's see if this business model is truly sustainable under those circumstances. Here is hoping because this is a fantastic deal.
