Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) joins forces with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to thwart arrmageddon in "Thor: Ragnarok."
LOS ANGELES — Planet Hulk meets Ragnarok, somewhere in the middle.
The news was previously revealed that actor Mark Ruffalo would be joining the cast of "Thor: Ragnarok," as the Incredible Hulk. But the latest internet rumor gives fans a deeper look, and ray of hope, into the potential relationship of Thor and Banner in the film.
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT FOLLOWS!!!
Sources close to Geek.com reveal that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and new baddie Hela (Cate Blanchett) join forces to defeat Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and banish the God of Thunder from Asgard forever.
Hela was absolute ruler of Hel and Niffleheim in the Marvel Comic books. She first appeared in issue No. 102 of "Journey into Mystery" (1964). Besides super strength and stamina, Hela utilizes Black Magic and has the abilities of telepathy, teleportation and even reincarnation.
Without his trusty hammer Mjölnir, Thor is exiled to a planet of gladiators and warriors, most likely Sakaar (aka Planet Hulk). It is there that the once Mighty Thor comes across an unlikely participant, foe and ally -- the Hulk.
The monster has yet to return to human form since "Age of Ultron," but Banner recognizes Thor. After the pair engage in at least one epic battle, Thor and Hulk team up for the ultimate road trip. They begin their search for Thor's hammer on their way to vanquish the evil plans of Loki and Hela.
According to the rumor, this is the rough outline for the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" film, which opens on November 3, 2017. Filming is set to begin this June.
