Doomsday is coming!

January 1993: In these final panels, of "Superman" No. 75, the Man of Steel and Doomsday kill one another in the streets of Metropolis.
LOS ANGELES — Director Zack Snyder is done pulling punches, as it pertains to keeping his new project's villain a secret, and the new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) trailer indeed reveals the film's super-powered threat: Doomsday!
The video also divulges a teaming of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman against the unstoppable Kryptonian creature of mass destruction -- a monster that vanquished the Man of Steel in the comic books.
Doomsday first appeared in "Superman: The Man of Steel" No. 17 in November of 1992. In the ensuing storyline, which spanned all four Superman comic book titles at the time, produced by D.C. Comics 23 years ago, Superman is killed by the deleterious creature dubbed Doomsday by the Justice League of America.
What appears to be very different about Snyder's upcoming film is the inclusion of Batman and Wonder Woman in the epic battle. The Justice League of 1992 was comprised of mostly B-List D.C. heroes, including Guy Gardner, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Even in a team, assisted by Superman, they were an unbefitting squad to face such a menace.
Without the aid of Earth's truly mighty heroes, including the likes of Captain Marvel, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, the Flash, Wonder Woman and even the Batman, Superman died from his wounds battling Doomsday. The monster was thwarted, but it cost the Last Son of Krypton his life.
Expect a much different outcome in "Batman v Superman," as the Man of Steel has the assistance of at least two of D.C.'s A-List heroes: The Dark Knight and the Amazon Princess.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens on March 25, 2016.
Check out the new video below.
The film stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Martha Kent (Diane Lane), Jeremy Irons (Alfred), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry/Aquaman) and Holly Hunter.
