The first spring-training game of the season is just over a week away.
TAMPA, Fla. -- Position players are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, at George M. Steinbrenner Field, but Alex Rodriguez came early to take his physical. A-Rod is now on his way to the Yankees Minor League complex.
Masahiro Tanaka went through his second bullpen session of the spring. He offered up 35 pitches to catcher Austin Romine, with no issues or sign of discomfort. After, Tanaka said he felt "absolutely good."
The first full-team workout is scheduled Thursday for the Yankees. The Bronx Bombers first spring training game will be @ the Phillies on Tuesday, Mar. 3 at noon. The game will be televised, although delayed, on the MLB Network.
