NICHOLLS STATE @ ARKANSAS -- PREVIEW

With all due respect to the Nicholls State Colonels (0-1), a member of the SOUTHLAND Conference, tomorrow's game against Arkansas (0-1) should end in a Razorback rout.
Last week, while the Hogs fell to No. 5 Auburn 45-21, on the plains, NSU was throttled on the road by Air Force, 44-16. Tomorrow will mark the Colonels first game against an SEC opponent in the program's history.
Proponents of NSU, and the SOUTHLAND Conference, will immediately point to fellow conference member UCA's near miss last week on the road at Texas Tech, 42-35.
Undoubtedly, those fans will point to that performance as some foreshadowing of a difficult task that awaits the Razorbacks tomorrow in Fayetteville. Don't bet on it.
Despite the fact that Arkansas has lost its last 10 games, dating back to last season, the Hogs will easily break that losing streak tomorrow and in convincing fashion.
QB Brandon Allen will have the opportunity to hone his throwing skills against an inferior secondary, while the Hogs will run through, up, over and around a defensive line that is, quite frankly, out of its league against the Razorbacks mammoth offensive line.
KICKOFF: 3 p.m.

Prediction: Arkansas 45 Nicholls State 17
