ON SPORTS: Jerry Sandusky found GUILTY of sexual assault

BELLEFONTE, Pa -- Former Penn State defensive coach Jerry Sandusky has been convicted of sexual assault against 10 young boys he had contact with over the course of 15 years. The 68-year-old Sandusky was found guilty on 45 of 48 counts, and the judge ordered him removed to a county jail where Sandusky will await his sentence.
While Sandusky never took the stand, in his defense, eight men did testify in the Pennsylvania court. Their testimony revealed everything from kissing to groping to anal rape. A Penn State University janitor and former graduate assistant Mike McQueary also provided testimony revealing sexual misconduct against Sandusky.
Sandusky was arrested in November 2011, and the incident lead to Penn State firing then head football coach Joe Paterno. The Sandusky controversy also led to the dismissal of university president Graham Spanier. In addition, athletic director Tim Curley and retired vice president Gary Shultz face allegations and await trials.
Sandusky faces over 400 years in prison.
