Robin Latham, Manager of the Holiday Island Framers' Market.
Rockin' Robin Latham, Manager of the Holiday Island Farmers' Market, is standing by every Friday morning to assure that Islanders--and you too--have access to affordable, fresh, and local produce. Robin sent out the following tongue in cheek press release to inspire us to take advantage of the opportunity for "fresh, local, and honest" produce and other goods:
Dear HI Consumers,
Corporate has been concerned about lagging sales, so they hired the advertising team from AMCs MAD Men to promote the Farmers Market. After extensive analysis and a great deal of money they have determined that our pricing structure is a bit old fashioned. We've also downsized the Market to bring you more efficient pricing.
This week we've got...
Spring Mix - $1.99 a Gallon Bag (Fresh from our new factory in China)
Spinach - $2.99 (picked by illegal immigrants)
Green Onions - $.99 or 3 for $1.99 (we use recycled rubber bands)
French Breakfast radishes - $.99 a bunch
(Part of our equal opportunity program for the French)
We have mark down products available, and workshops on how to take the products out of the bag.
Live better, live smarter.
We're rolling back prices.
The market, now in it's 3rd year of operation, is open from around 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Be sure to stop by, and to patronize all our local Farmers' Markets.
